Hand-painted silks and handwoven garments that materialize the spirit of the life performances — sculptures activated by an armature, also known as a body.
Each piece is painted by hand and finished one at a time: charmeuse scarves with hand-sewn or machine-sewn edges, twill panels with grommets for hanging, wearable flags that can be read as capes or dresses. No two are the same.
When people wear the silks, the characters painted on them blend with the surface of the body and move with the wearer's life. The question that keeps the series open: what happens to the body when it activates the sculpture, and what does that experience give the person wearing it?
